We are pleased to offer radial shockwave at our Claygate clinic. Our Storz radial shockwave machine is one of the best in the market and is used in many top clinics and large teaching hospitals.
Radial shockwave is an established evidence based treatment that involves passing high energy sound waves into damaged tissues to increase blood flow and stimulate repair while reducing pain and allowing your body to re start its own natural healing process.
It is clinically proven and recommended by the UK NICE guidelines for conditions such as:-
- Plantar fasciitis
- Achilles tendon pain
- Tennis elbow
- GTPS (gluteal tendon pain syndrome)
- Calcific tendinopathy
It is a non-invasive and safe treatment.
However it is not suitable for acute conditions (recent conditions where the tissues are inflamed) and is not a stand-alone treatment and is best used when a condition is more than 3 months old.
Research has shown that 3-6 treatments are required to get the best results. The amount of treatments required depends on the physios’ findings at the initial assessment and will either be a package of 3 or 6. Following the shock wave course rehabilitation will be much more effective in resolving your condition.
All patients will require an initial assessment to determine suitability for shockwave.
Prices
£280 for a course of 3 20 min shockwave sessions. Per single body part i.e left foot
£540 for a course of 6 20 minute sessions. Per single body part
Client Testimonials
When I first met Amanda Harris I was suffering considerable pain and lack of mobility in my left leg following a sports injury. As I had historical left knee issues I feared that I would not regain my previous level of left knee/leg functionality. Amanda quickly identified the problem – a torn calf muscle – and recommended a highly effective course of treatment and exercises so that I was back to my previous fitness level within six weeks. Amanda has now created for me an excellent exercise programme to help me protect and maintain my left knee and leg to minimise the risk of further injury. She is highly knowledgeable, very personable, reassuring and professionally proficient – I am so pleased and grateful to have benefited from her expertise.Julie, Global bank based in London
Amanda has helped me through a torn hamstring which has taken over two months to recover. This is the second time I have had a hamstring injury in the past eighteen months so it’s taken longer to heal. Amanda has shown me great exercises which have really helped ease the pain. Amanda has used amazing techniques and sports tape so it’s easier to move without hurting yourself and to loosen the muscles. And for those reasons I recommend Amanda and the rest of The Physio Company.Amazing techniques to heal torn hamstring
